View of Bangkok in Thailand

One of the most popular destinations in Asia to visit in recent years is Thailand. This of course also coincides with the popularity of the soaring Thai cuisine around the world. Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, is the main entry point where most tourists to Thailand will use it.

Bangkok is a very interesting city because apart from the usual office buildings, resorts and contemporary shopping centers, there are also about 400 exotic Thai temples that seem to stand out from the city skyline. There are Thai citizens on the streets wearing contemporary business attire as well as saffron-robed Buddhist monks. But here’s the Thai section pattaya taxi . Traditional mixed with contemporary. Actually, this is a traditional attraction that makes Thailand so magical. The temple is a sight that can not be seen in the western world. They are like objects that emerge from Asian fairy tales.

Like many other major Asian cities, Bangkok is heavily populated with traffic, people and pollution. Actually, the air can get pretty bad so there are locals who wear surgical masks on the streets. With an average annual temperature of 28 degrees Celsius or 83 degrees Fahrenheit, it can be somewhat uncomfortable outside some tourists, especially those from the northern climate. Beware also that there will be people on the street who will try to crave tourists and direct them to their own business and tours. But unlike places in the Caribbean, Thai people are polite and not aggressive. For example, once arriving at an international airport, there will be people inside the terminal including those at booths that will offer taxi transportation to your resort. Although this is untrue, they will charge a premium compared to the taxi waiting outside the terminal. There is a similar situation at the resort. Taxis waiting just outside the main resort entrance seem to quote more than the wait in the streets a little further down. The ‘tuk tuk’ tricycle is also so varied that it may be prudent to ask for quotes from some motorists rather than taking the first one you see. Tuk Tuk is a pleasant ride by the way so they should experience at least once while in Bangkok. The city also has a variety of public buses and river taxis that are long ships used on river canal systems. A great way to spend some time is to drive in one of these river taxis to walk the canals some of which are called ‘Eastern Venice’.

The Grand Palace is probably the most visited attraction in Bangkok. The complex is surrounded by a wall built in 1783 and contains government offices, royal monastic monuments and the Emerald Buddha Chapel. The Royal chapel containing the Emerald Buddha is the king’s private chapel. The Buddha himself is actually a jade sitting on a golden altar. This is not a great Buddha but very special. Apparently, they changed the Buddhist clothes which are also made of gold on a seasonal basis. There are many monuments with grounds dedicated to the monarch of the past. Walls with great mythological views are displayed throughout. The buildings and monuments inside the Grand Palace have some very striking colors including gold and green vegetables. The gold color is used quite a lot and the typical Thai roof curved over the building is very detail. What is also amazing is the inside of this building with its magnificent rooms and spaces used for various ceremonies and events. Some of these halls have special royal altars.

One of the temples that does not miss is Wat Pho which is a Buddhist Temple. It features a giant Buddha lying on its side. Even the foot of this Buddha has a very intricate detail design. Other beautiful temples that can be seen are Wat Arun (Dawn Temple) and Wat Benchamabophit (Marble Temple). Wat Pho Temple has traditional Thai massage service which is very popular among tourists. Other temples like Wat Mahathat and Wat Parinayok also provide Thai massage. The Royal Barges or long boats used during ceremonies on the river are also great to look at. The details that were put into the decor of this ship were simply outstanding.
